Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is particularly effective for welding copper, addressing many of the challenges traditionally associated with it. Copper is difficult to weld using conventional methods because it has high thermal conductivity, which causes heat to dissipate ragdoll hit quickly, making it hard to form a stable weld pool. Additionally, copper's tendency to form brittle phases when overheated can compromise weld quality.
